The client wanted to reimagine this rooftop deck as an engaging social space for residents while also addressing furniture durability against Austin’s elements. In response, we introduced a mix of entertainment and functional upgrades, transforming it into a true community hub. A dedicated game area featuring Corn Hole and Life-Sized Connect Four was added adjacent to the grilling station, creating a lively atmosphere for gatherings. To further enhance the space, a fun, locally-inspired mural became a focal point, offering a prime selfie spot. At the client’s request, the mural includes references to beloved Austin spots, plus a nod to Bevo—the iconic Texas Longhorn—cheekily depicted with a can of spray paint (a brilliant touch by our artist!). To extend seasonal usability, we incorporated a fire-pit, ensuring the deck remains a cozy retreat even in cooler months. Given the rooftop’s exposure to wind, all outdoor pillows and rugs were sourced from one of our trusted vendors who specializes in weighted textiles—keeping everything stylishly in place, no matter the weather.
